The technical knowledge of hundreds of years of the Grand Bazaar come together with the notion of modern design and form Başak Baykal's aesthetic understanding. Each design is embellished with rare and high-carat gemstones. The pieces, which are works of art, are no longer a matter of style with Başak Baykal designs, they symbolize the stance of a local and deep-rooted heritage.
After becoming a mother of twins, Başak Baykal leaves her 20-year corporate career and follows a new path in her own life, inspired by her youthful creativity. She moves her office to London in order to expand the brand she created in Istanbul, and finds herself keeping the Grand Bazaar aesthetic alive on a different continent, in between the jewels she spent her childhood with. Adding the training she received at the Gemological Institute of America to her experience, she begins to create the brand of her dreams.
