About Artist
Müge Eryılmaz ( b.1960, Ankara) graduated from TED Ankara College in 1977 and completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration at the Middle East Technical University Faculty in 1981. Between 1982 and 2009, she pursued a career in the furniture and upholstery industries. In 2006,she completed the Design Culture and Management Certificate Program offered by Bilgi University. Following her established business career, she discovered her passion for ceramic arts in 2010. She gained various techniques and observed many disciplines in artist workshops. In her works, Eryılmaz creates tactile surfaces by using the natural texture of ceramic material. Her meticulously crafted ceramic panels and forms are featured in renowned collections in Turkey and abroad. She continues working at Meclay Ceramic Atelier, which she founded in Istanbul in 2015.
