Coralie Ruiz and Anthony Stephinson are an art duo, based in Paris. In their practice, they consider the visitor to be like a hinge, with a fixed central point: the exhibition. They are conscious that their work is exposed the moment it is ‘observed’, and this constant is at the heart of their research: both the visitor and the artist are in equilibrium, and as nomads, they become adventurers. They are no longer moving around art objects; it is the area of the gallery itself, in orbit and in rotation on its own axis, that takes them through it. Alongside their practice, they run the non-profit independent art space Goswell Road from their studio in Paris.
